Profile of activities of the laboratory:

The laboratory of toxicology undertakes research work in the area of assessment the toxic action of chemical substances using  in vitro methods. Based on health criteria, the assessment of health risk and the latest scientific data, documentation for recommended exposure limits for chemical substances are prepared. The Laboratory participates in the work of the Interdepartmental Commission for MAC and MAI, the Group of Experts for Chemical Agents and the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH). The Laboratory participates in the development of computer software -  STER software and training programmes and materials, as well as proposals on legal acts.
