Chromatographic Analysis Laboratory - About the Laboratory

Profile of activities of the laboratory:

The Laboratory undertakes research work on the assessment of occupational exposure to chemical substances in the working environment. Basic analyses are undertaken identyfying the mixtures of chemical substances emitted during technological processes and in office premises.

Methods for determination of chemical substances at workplace air are also undertaken based on experimental tests, primarily using chromatographic techniques for quantitative determination.

The Laboratory participates in the work of the Programme Council on Chemical Safety Data Sheets, the Interdepartmental Commision on MAC and MAI, the Expert Grup of Chemical Agents and the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH).

The Laboratory participates in the development of computer databases and software - Chemical Safety Data Sheets, STER software and training programmes and materials, as well as proposals on legal acts.
