Bartosz Piechowicz, Kinga Stawarczyk, Michał Stawarczyk, Iwona Piechowicz

The fact that humans belong to warm-blooded organisms does not mean that the temperature in the place of their stay has no impact on the functioning on human body. Basic OSH problems in small construction companies
Andrzej Dąbrowski

This paper presents the results of investigations of small Polish construction plants in provinces with a high accident rate. The results, together with construction experts’ opinions, concern essential OSH problems, e.g., cooperation with the general contractor, OSH records, identification of hazards and risk assessment, organization of work, technical protective equipment against hazards, training workers as well as the use of machines and devices. This paper also considers the complexity of the operation of small construction plants within OSH and the influence of other spheres of life on these enterprises. It points out the need for preventive actions involving not only these enterprises but also other participants of the construction process as well as other institutions, e.g., those creating systems of training for construction workers or establishing law.

This study aimed to diagnose police officers'''''''''''''''' subjective feeling of safety in selected aspects of their work.

Marta Derlicka, Agnieszka Szczygielska

Young people who begin their occupational journey are more exposed to accidents at work than other employees, mainly due to their lack of experience and knowledge. Therefore, prevention is necessary. Literature in social psychology clearly shows that young people''s incorrect behaviours result from their childhood, when they learnt how to perceive the world surrounding them and when they were influenced by people around them. This article discusses the problem of shaping safe behaviours in children in primary schools through educational art competitions.
