14th century gothic Teutonic castle is also one of the largest buildings of this type in the world. In its big times, the castle served as a fortified monastery and was both a seat of the monastery and of the local administration and, at the same time, a Teutonic Knights fortress.

After faithful renovation and reconstruction, the castle has become a special place. The ghost of its onetime host - Freidrich von Wallenrode (brother of the Great Master of the Teutonic Knights Konrad Von Wallenrode), famous for both his love of knights’ tradition and fascination with sophisticated cuisine, keeps a watch so that each meeting is a magic event.
